"China’s rapid economic rise has had major impacts on world politics in the 21st century. The
subject of this paper, the recent Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), is one of many examples of China’s
continuing political and economic evolution. This paper will first place the BRI in its geopolitical
context. Then, it will discuss the legal implications of the BRI in matters of dispute settlement,
exposing the delicate decisions that Beijing will have to take."
The MIBTLS is accepting submissions on an ongoing basis of articles and/or blog posts of under 500 words to publish on its website and social media.
Criteria are the following:
- Articles/blog posts must relate to international business and/or trade law;
- Articles/blog posts must be in Word format;
- Articles/blog posts may cite using either hyperlinks or the McGill Cite Guide; and
- Articles may be written in English or in French (and other languages may be considered).
The MIBTLS reserves the right to accept or reject submissions for publication.
